Power management systems need to keep pace with technological innovations. However, the battery chemistries most commonly employed to power single-use military applications have remained virtually unchanged for decades. Meanwhile, a new generation of high-power lithium metal oxide batteries has emerged, outperforming legacy battery chemistries with its higher capacity, higher energy density, long-term reliability, instantaneous activation, as well as the potential for significant cost savings.
