Alkaloids from three Senecio species

In order to continue our systematic studies of the genus Senecio, section Mulgediifolii (Romo de Vivar et al., 1995,1996; Perez-Castorena et al., 1997, 1998) we collected Senecio doratophyllus Benth. in Chiapas, May 1995 (MEXU 521078), S. deformis Klatt in Morelos, July 1996 (MEXU 701618), and S. conzattii Greenm. in Oaxaca, March 1997 (MEXU 781265). Voucher specimens are deposited at the Herbarium del Instituto de Biologia, UNAM, Mexico.
