Nutrient Composition of Petioles of Grapes (Cv Thompson Seedless) Under Low and High Yielding Vineyards in Bijapur

A systematic investigation was conducted on nutrient composition of petioles of grapes (cv Thompson Seedless) under low and high yielding vineyards in Bijapur. The nutrient composition of petiole varied under low and high yielding vineyards. In low yielding vineyards, the nitrogen content ranged from 0.91 to 1.09%, phosphorus content 0.23 to 0.30%, potassium content 2.00 to 2.96%, calcium content 0.79 to 1.06%, magnesium content 0.17 to 0.39%, sulfur content 0.11 to 0.14%, zinc status 67 to 81 mg/kg, Fe content 37 to 60 mg/kg, Mn content 36 to 57 mg/kg and Cu content 7 to 12 mg/kg. Whereas, in high yielding vineyards the nitrogen content varied from 0.93 to 2.04%, phosphorus content 0.24 to 0.59%, potassium content 2.42 to 3.06%, calcium content 0.83 to 1.37%, magnesium content 0.23 to 0.65%, sulfur content 0.10 to 0.14%, Zn content 77 to 93 mg/kg, Fe content 62 to 72 mg/kg, Mn content 60 to 72 mg/kg and Cu content 13 to 17 mg/kg.
