Different sunflower hybrids were screened for thermo tolerance by temperature induction response (TIR) technique. Two days old uniform seedlings were used for temperature stress and meanadione induced oxidative stress tolerance. Many hybrids were found to be tolerant to temperature stress and oxidative stress. Few of the entries like SF 204, KBSH 59, BISCO 209, MDSFH 404, TNAUSUF 7 and LSF 81 showed tolerance to both the stresses. These hybrids are considered to be highly promising lines for stress tolerance.
