Character association of edible fruit yield and other characters in okra Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench.

Genotypic correlations were higher in magnitude compared to their corresponding phenotypic correlations for most of the character combinations. Edible fruit yield was found to be positive and significantly correlated with plant height and number of fruits per plant at parents, F₁ and F₂ level. This indicates that any selection based on these characters will enhance performance and improvement edible fruit yield in okra.
