摘要

Nine bold seeded short duration cultivars of groundnut were tested during summer season of 2006. The type of soil was typical alluvial with sandy loam texture and almost neutral in reaction, having medium topography with well drained facilities. The study includes the performance of growth parameters (e.g. leaf area index, aerial dry matter production, crop growth rate, nodules number/plant, nodules dry weight/plant and number of pods/plant) and yield attributing parameters (e.g. number of primary branches/plant, shelling percentage, sound mature kernel percentage, weight of 100 pods, weight of 100 kernels, length of kernel), width of kernel and pod yield (kg/ha). The cultivars, ISGV-00308 and ISGV-0309 performed the highest crop growth rate while the lowest CGR were performed by the line ISGV-99210. The cultivar ISGV-00290 recorded the maximum number of nodules (183.40) at 90 DAS. However, the minimum was obtained with the cultivar ISGV-0308. The number of pods/plant reached the maximum at 90 DAS. The cultivar ISGV-9918 recorded the maximum number of pods/plant (21.2) followed by ISGV-99206 (18.4). The minimum number of pods/plant was recorded by ISGV-9211 (14.2). The shelling percentage was higher (74.3%) in ISGV-00321. Ultimately, the maximum yield was registered by ISGV-00311 (29.15 q/ha) and the minimum was recorded by ISGV-99211 (17.32 q/ha).
