Influence of value added nutrient supplementation to mulberry leaves on the performance of bivoltine mulberry silkworm hybrids.

摘要

This study evaluated the performance of bivoltine silkworm hybrids CSR₂ x CSR₄ and its reciprocal CSR₄ x CSR₂ reared on mulberry leaves supplemented separately with six different feed additives. Application of CFTRI mixture in rearing schedule recorded maximum mature larval weight, cocoon weight, shell weight, shell ratio, silk productivity and filament length when provided from fourth instar onwards compared to application exclusively during fifth instar or the unsupplemented control.
