An experiment was carried out to record the variability in isolates of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides collected from different mango growing areas of Jammu and Kashmir and also from some other hosts. It was observed that isolate CGJ was fast growing and exhibited 90.00 mm growth. However, rest of the isolates belonging to moderate group and showed 87.12, 82.25, 81.5 and 71.37 mm growth after seven days of incubation. Maximum average conidial length (16.36 micro m) was recorded in isolate CgGJ followed by CgJ (16.28 micro m). There was no variation in conidial shape; all isolates were oblong to cylindrical straight with rounded ends with two oil globules present in each conodium.
