Ground Water Level Simulation in Vinayakpur Catchment of Chhattisgarh Using Water Allocation Model

摘要

Mike Basin is one of major applied decision support system developed for sustainable simulation and water allocation management in river basin. The project area is divided into domestic user and irrigation water supply resources including surface water and groundwater. Also the result showed that surface water availability at 75% and 90% probability is 245.75 mm and 207.98 mm and ground water availability is 113.84 mm on annual basis. Total availability of water 391.66 mm. Annual agriculture demand of the study area is 190.65 mm and domestic demand is 7.72 mm that means total water demand of the catchment is 198.37 mm. The developed models can be used for real time reservoir operation and irrigation planning under variable climatic conditions. The correlation coefficient for calibration and validation for groundwater depths in the basin were obtained as 0.79 and 0.75 respectively.
