摘要

The present study focused on study on isolation of cellulose and lignin degrading bacteria from different soil types. Five (CDM 1, CDM 2, CDM 3, CDM 4, CDM 5) and two (LDM 11, LDM 22) isolates were obtained from cellulose and lignin degrades respectively. The biochemical, morphological and enzyme activity was performed for these isolates. The results showed that more number of isolates were obtained from compost and forest soil types for both cellulose and lignin degrading bacteria and less or no isolates from uncultivated type of soil. The forest soil showed effective isolates which determined the presence of higher inoculums of cellulose and lignin degrading microorganisms.
