摘要

Area under disease progress curve is an indication of slow and fast blasting traits in finger millet cultivars. Twenty-five long duration finger millet germplasm lines were screened for leaf blast disease (Pyricularia grisea) resistance and lesion number per leaf during kharif 2003, in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. GE-350 had the maximum AUDPC, logit and gompertz values of 349.40, 0.1656 and 0.11732, respectively, and GE-411 had the lowest AUDPC, logit and gompertz values of 80.25, 0.0232 and 0.0376, respectively, for leaf blast severity. Number of lesions per leaf was highest with AUDPC, logit and gompertz values of 358.32, 0.0469 and 0.0580 in GE-291, while the lowest values of 90.75, 0.0102 and 0.0108 were recorded in GE-390. Results indicated that the genotypes having more AUDPC, logit and gompertz values are more susceptible to blast disease and the genotypes with less values were resistant to blast disease.
