Occurrence and Distribution of Viral Diseases of Tomato in Himachal Pradesh

Fifly seven locations in five districts viz. Solan, Sirmour, Shimla, Mandi and Kullu were surveyed for recording the prevalence of virus diseases in tomato. The highest disease incidence was 80 and 72% at Kothi in the first and second years of survey. The viruses were identified as Tobacco mosaic virus, a Potyvirus resembling leaf distortion virus of datura and Tomato spotted wilt virus.
