摘要

The effect of exposure to mahua (Madhuca longifolia) oil cake at 29, 38.6 and 58 ppm for 5 and 10 days on the haematological parameters of Channa punctatus was studied. It was shown that haemoglobin and erythrocyte decreased by 23.9 and 26.66% and by 28.25 and 24.89% after 5 and 10 days exposure to 58 ppm mahua oil cake, respectively. Both paramaters decreased with increasing concentrations of mahua oil cake. These results show that mahua oil cake is effective in controlling fish predators in carp culture.
