Characteristics of Urban and Suburban soil in different seasons of Rohtas district, Bihar

This study was conducted on urban and suburban soil of Rohtas district, Bihar, India, to determine the characteristics of soil. The analysis of the soil was done by standard methods in different seasons. The percentage of organic carbon, total nitrogen, C:N ratio and exchangeable cations (potassium, calcium, sodium and available phosphorus) were determined and all these attributes showed higher values in urban than suburban soil except pH..
