Performance of maize at seedling stage using green manure and disease development.

An experiment was conducted in Nigeria, to compare the effects of green manure (Centrosema pubescens, Calapogonium mucunoides [Calopogonium mucunoides] and Pueraria phaseoloides) on maize growth at seedling stage and disease development. Calapogonium mucunoides had the highest influence on total height (3207.4) of maize seedlings. Centrosema pubescens had the highest effect on the total leaf number (135) and the greatest influence on total leaf spot (129)..
