摘要

Field experiment was conducted on medium black soil during kharif of 2013 to know the penoxsulam + cyhalofop-butyl 6% OD application on plant growth, nutrient uptake and economics of rice. The results revealed that among the herbicides tested application of penoxsulam + cyhalofop-butyl 6% OD @ 135 g ha~(-1)1 at 2-A leaf stage significantly increased the plant height, number of tillers and lower nutrient uptake by weeds. The concentration of herbicide and stage of application are found to be importantto reduce weed menace in rice. Application at lower concentration either 105 or 120 g ha~(-1) and later part of crop growth (5-8 leaf stage of weeds) was not found to be effective. However, hand weeding at 20, 40 and 60 DAS was also recorded higher grain yield (4310 kg ha~(-1)), higher plant height, number of tillers, plant dry weight and lower nutrient uptake by weeds but need more labors. Research results inferred that application of penoxsulam + cyhalofop-butyl 6% OD @ 135 g ha~(-1) at 2-4 leaf stage was found to be effective for weed management with higher B:C, Net returns in dry direct seeded rice.
