摘要

Mango (Mangifera indicia L.) is one of the most important fruit crop in India and considered to be the national fruit of India. It belongs to the family Anacardiaceae and native to Indo-Burma region, the study was conducted to evaluate physical, morphological and biochemical characters of ten mango varieties. The results show that the highest fruit length (14.71 cm), fruit weight (521.70g), maximum fruit volume (512.25 ml) and pulp weight (372.83 g) were recorded in the variety Totapuri. Highest peelweight was observed in Mundappa (90.26 g) and maximum stone weight was recorded in Ratna (69.04 g). The highest total soluble solids was recoded i Manibhatta (21 ‘’Brix) and also the maximum titratabi acidity was found in Mundappa (0.41%), highest tctal sugar content (28.20%) and reducing sugar cor tent (4.89%) was observed in kare Ishad.
