摘要

An evaluation of the effects of thiodan and malathion on testes and accessory reproductive glands of male mice was made by biochemical estimations of nucleic acid and sialic acid Different groups of mice treated with low, medium and high doses of experimental pesticides, each for 63 days. Both the pesticides caused degenerative changes in the testes and accessory reproductive glands of male mice as evidenced by a significant dose, dependent decrease in both DNA and RNA contents and that of sialic acid in them. The observations thus indicate the dysfunction of testes and accessory gland at biochemical level caused by thiodan and malathion.
