The F1 hatchlings of Lampito mauritii obtained from 20, 15, 10 and 5 PSR (percent substrate ratio) media of paddy chaff and weed plant materials and cultured in the same media under laboratory condition for 80 days showed a gradual increase in their total weight and length values throughout the entire study. However, the weight and length gain values observed in the paddy chaff were relatively very less when compared to the weed plants. The F1 worms cultured in 5 PSR medium of paddy chaff and 20, 10 and 5 PSR media of weed plants materials for 80 days did not laid any cocoon during the study period (30 days), and after one month of maturation. The rate of cocoon production was significantly improved over their parents if at all they laid cocoons.
