A field experiment was conducted in factorial randomized block design with two varieties of sorghum and three levels of nitrogenous fertilizer to study the herbage yield and nutritional qualities. The variety sweet Sudan proved its superiority over M.P. Chari with respect of green and dry forage yield and nutritional qualities. Application of N increased herbage yield and CP content significantly upto 80 kg N/ha, Sweet Sudan plus 80 kg N/ha showed the highest economic return over other treatment combinations,
