Effect of Loose and Barn Houing System on Total Bacteriological Count in Fresh Raw Milk Obtained in Two and Three Frequencies of Milking in Crossbred Cows

An attempt was made to study the effect of loose and barn housing system on total bacteriological count in fresh raw milk obained in two and three frequencies of milking. The total bacterial count per mlin milk did not vary significantly due to two and three frequencies of milking. The differences in bacterial count in milk between loose and barn housing system were significant (P<0.05). Milk obatained in loose house system registered significantly higher number of microflora than in milk of barn system of housing.
