摘要

The effects of row spacing on SPAD values in pearlmillet under dryland conditions were investigated at Northern dry zone (Zone-3) of Karnataka during kharif'of 2013. The experiments consisted of eight planting patterns replicated three times in a randomized block design. At 50% flowering the wider row spacing 120 cm x 5.0 cm gave significantly higher chlorophyll content (60.25) as compared to recommended spacing 60 cm x 10 cm (53.09) and at 20 day's after 50% flowering also the same treatment 120 cmx 5.0cm (50.99) recorded highest SPAD values as compared to recommended spacing 60 cm x 10 cm (42.33) which is at par with the treatments 135 cm x 10cm (49.55), 135 cm x 5.0 cm (49.51). The SPAD values are increased with increase in wider row spacing.
