he present investigation was carried out during 2012-13 seasons to determine effect of CPPU. NAA and salicylic acid on vegetative growth, fruit retention and yield of Gola Pear [Pyrus pyrifolia (Burm.) Nakai]. CPPU @ 5 ppm and 10 ppm, NAA @ 10 ppm and20 ppm. Salicylic acid @ 50 ppm and 100 ppm were applied alone as a first spray after fruit set and second and third spray with fifteen days interval. CPPU @ 10 was found most effective in significantly increasing shoot growth (35.09 cm) over the others, while number of leaves per shoot (19.00), leaf area (98.89 cm2), chlorophyll a (0.41 mg/g) chlorophyll b (0.23 mg/g) and chlorophyll a+b (0.64 mg/g) werefound maximum with the CPPU @ 5 ppm spray The minimum fn.it drop also recorded with same treatment at the time of peak fruit drop.
