Response of Hybrid Rice to Levels and Time of Nitrogen Application

摘要

A field experiment was conducted during kharif seasons of 2003 and 2004 to study the response of hybrid rice to levels and time of nitrogen application. Application of nitrogen significantly increased the grain yield, straw yield, harvest index, testweight upto 200 kg N/ha. Split application of nitrogen had higher values of yield components in both varieties PAC-832 and PAC-801 when nitrogen was applied T, 1/2 basal + V_4 maximum tillering + 1/4 panicle initiation.
