Effect of different levels of irrigation and mulch on growth and development of summer groundnut.

摘要

The effects of irrigation during the branching, flowering, pegging and/or pod development stage, alone or in combination mulching on the growth and development of groundnuts were determined in a field experiment conducted in West Bengal, India during the summer of 2003-04. The treatments increased the values for plant height, number of branches per plant, leaf area index, dry matter accumulation, number and dry weight of nodules per plant and root dry weight, with irrigation at flowering, pegging and pod development stage, in combination with mulching resulting the in the highest values of the parameters measured..
