摘要

The acute toxic effect of four heavy metals, namely mercury, copper, cadmium and zinc on the nauplius larvae of the banana shrimp (P. merguiensis) was studied in the laboratory. It was shown that mercury was highly toxic among the four tested metals, with a 24-h median lethal concentration of 0.0046 ppm. The 24-h LC50 value of copper was 0.0325 ppm, while the LC50 values of cadmium and zinc on the nauplius larvae were 0.15 and 0.69 ppm, respectively. Thus, the order of toxicity of the different heavy metals tested on the nauplius larvae of P. merguiensis was Hg > Cu > Cd > Zn..
