摘要

Four different intensities of electric current (50, 100, 150, 200 mA) and (150, 225, 300, 375 mA) were applied to the seeds of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) and poi (Basella alba L.) respectively for five minutes duration before sowing. It was observed that electric current (EC) treatment influences different growth, yield parameters and finally the yield of these crops 100 mA EC for five minutes duration was found to be optimum for increasing yield of okra Whereas, improement in yield of poi was achieved when seeds were treated with 300 mA EC for five minutes duration. Electrotherapy of pre- sowing seeds seems to be useful tool for improving yield in crops due to its economy and simplicity of use.
