A field experiment was conducted on loamy sand soil during rabi of 2009-10 to find out the effect of integrated nutrient management on quality and nutrient uptake of Indian mustard and after experimentation soil fertility status. Results showed that different fertility levels had significant effect on quality and nutrient uptake of Indian mustard. Application of 100% RDF through fertilizers recorded significantly highest nitrogen uptake by stover but remained at par with 75% RDF through FYM+25% through fertilizers and 25% RDF through FYM+75% through fertilizers. Whereas, 75% RDF through FYM+25% through fertilizers registered significantly highest uptake of nitrogen by seed over control and 100% RDF through FYM. Phosphorus and potassium uptake in both seed and stover and oil yield of Indian mustard improved significantly with 75% RDF through FYM+25% through fertilizers, which remained at par with 50% RDF through FYM+50% through fertilizers. The organic carbon, total N, C:N ratio and available N, P and K content in surface soil layer increased with application of 100% RDF through FYM. Results further showed that dual inoculation with Azotobactor+PSB significantly increased protein content in seed and oil yield over control. Available N, P, organic carbon and total N of surface soil improved due to seed inoculation with Azotobactor+PSB.
