Field screening of sunnhemp germplasms against top shoot borer Cydia (Laspeyresia) tricentra Meyr

Field screening for the relative susceptibility of 36 sunnhemp germplasms against top shoot borer, Cydia (Laspeyresia) tricentra Meyr. was studied during 1998 and 1989. Based on top shoot borer infestation index the germplasms were classified into different categories of resistance/susceptibility. Eight germplasms were found to be moderately susceptible, 10 germplasms were susceptible while 18 germplasms were highly susceptible to top shoot borer. None of the germplasms was found to be resistant or immune to top shoot borer.
