摘要

Thirty six hybrids were evaluated along with parents and commercial check to assess the magnitude of heterosis for growth and yield parameters in bottle gourd. The maximum heterosis was observed in the cross IC392392 x PSPL (71.43%) for vine length at45 DAS, IC392392 x AB (44.08%) for vine length at 75 DAS, IC392392 A x PSPL (38.70%) for number of branches 45 DAS, IC284953 x AB (8.12%) for number of branches 75 DAS, IC308564 A x PSPL, IC421962 x PS and IC284953 x AB (26.67%) for number of fruits pervine, for average fruit weight IC342078 x PS (150.00%) over commercial check. The cross NBBL-12 x PS exhibited maximum heterosis for fruit yield per vine (57.00%) and fruit yield per hectare (174.97%) over commercial check respectively.
