Integrated Management of Anthracnose of Field Bean Caused by Colletotrichum lindemuthianum

摘要

Anthracnose of field bean caused by Colletotrichum lindemulhianum is one of the chief contributing factors for this low productivity by its initial onslaught at young stage reducing the plant vigor and subsequently the pod yield. In the present investigation, it is evident that Carbendazim seed treatment + foliar spray of Carbendazim followed by Carbendazim + Mancozeb seed treatment + foliar spray of Carbendazim + Mancozeb, foliar spray of Propiconazole and Hexaconazole were effective in minimizing the per cent disease index and getting higher grain yield. As far as disease control and yields are considered, Carbendazim and triazoles viz., Propiconazole and Hexaconazole performed better as compared to conventional fungicides. In the presentstudy, the treatment containing Carbendazim seed treatment + foliar spray of carbendazim gave maximum cost: benefit ratio followed by Carbendazim + Mancozeb seed treatment + foliar spray of Carbendazim + Mancozeb, foliar spray of propiconazole and hexaconazole.
