Agri-silvicultural studies under rainfed condition of north western plateau zone.

Under agrosilvicultural system, the growth in plant height showed its peak for Eucalyptus sp. (12.6 m) followed by Dalbergia sissoo (8.7 m), Acacia auriculiformis (8.3 m) and Gmelina arborea (7.0 m). The girth at breast height was maximum in Eucalyptus sp. (47.7 cm) followed by D. sissoo (35.3 cm) and G. arborea (34.4 cm). The maximum yields of 10.2, 5.7, 7.3 and 8.3 q/ha of rice, green gram, black gram and groundnut, respectively, were obtained when the crops were grown in association with D. sissoo.
