摘要

Field experiment were conducted during the summer season of 2012 and 2013 to determine the effect of irrigation levels and mulches on yield attributing characters and yield of maize. The study revealed that drip irrigation at 125% PE caused 21.88% and18.61 % during 2012 and 2013 respectively increase in yield over surface irrigation. Black polythene mulch increased maize yield by 9.16% and 6.81% and 46.53% and 43.31 % during 2012 and 2013 over paddy straw mulch and no mulch with weedy check treatment respectively. Maize yield at drip irrigation at 125% PE proved significantly superior to drip irrigation at 75% PE and surface irrigation. The study further revealed that lower yield and yield attributes was observed when crop was imposed to drip irrigation at 75% PE and no mulch with weedy check among different irrigation levels and mulches respectively.
