Specially Protected Nature Territories and the Development of Ecological Tourism

Specially protected nature territories (SPNTs) are areas of land or water where nature complexes and/or objects of special environmental, scientific, cultural, aesthetic, recreational and/or health-improving importance are located, and the airspace above them; and areas that have been withdrawn (by the decision of public authorities), either in whole or in part, from economic use and which are managed under a special protection regime.
