Remarkable records of Microlepidoptera in Sweden during 2004.

The series of annual compilations of remarkable records of Microlepidoptera is continued for the 32nd year. The weather in the main collecting season was mostly rainy resulting in poor collection and probably also in low population numbers. Especially, many miners were not to be seen. Also immigrants were few. In spite of this, 6 species are reported new to Sweden, two of them through splitting of well-known species, Acleris stettinensis and Eucosma fulvana. Other new residents are Lampronia standfussiella, Tinea steueri and Clepsis nybomi. The first specimen of the immigrant Antigastra catalaunalis was collected. Regrettably, Cnephasia alticolana must be deleted from the Swedish list because of misidentification. At present, 1694 species of Microlepidoptera are known from Sweden.
