EPA Spurs International Cooperation to Respond to Climate Change

As part of Taiwan's efforts to take a more active role in international environmental exchanges, the EPA organized the "Central America Region MARKAL Model Development and Greenhouse Gas Mitigation International Cooperation Forum in Belize on July 12-13. Around 30 domestic and foreign experts from over ten countries and organizations including Taiwan, U.S.A., Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and the Central American Commission on Environment and Development convened to discuss the challenges of establishing MARKAL models in Central America over the years. The forum also discussed greenhouse gas mitigation strategies.
