5 Million NT dollars in Coupons Issued Online to Encourage Green Consumption

The EPA stated that promotion of green consumption requires mutual cooperation between manufacturers, vendors and consumers. From 2008, the EPA has provided guidance to a total of 9,940 vendors and individual stores that are in the process of becoming Green Stores. Green Stores sell products with the Green Mark, the Energy-Saving Mark, the Wafer-Saving Mark, and the Green Building Material Mark. To assist businesses in creating green business opportunities, the EPA has developed a program that will provide Green Coupons instead of actual products for all government-issued policy promotion materials, gifts and prizes. This is expected to increase citizen consumption of green products and give gift or award recipients the chance to choose a product that they really need.
