A Vauxhall dated bow - a French reference to Nicholas Crisp?

This paper is in two parts, the first relating to a dated Vauxhall bowl which has re-surfaced after about fifty years, and the second to a news item in a French journal. he five known pieces of dated Vauxhall porcelain, (one item of which is a part tea set), were listed by Simon Spero in his paper Vauxhall Porcelain - A Tentative Chronology. Four of the pieces he discussed in detail. A fifth piece was known only through an auction catalogue description of a bowl sold by Sotheby's sometime before 1965 and first attributed to Vauxhall by Bernard Watney. Its subsequent whereabouts was a mystery. Two other dated pieces believed to be Vauxhall, a bowl destroyed in 1910 and a plate recorded in 1915, were discussed by Roger Massey in a paper to the Circle in 1996.
