The effect of two batch annealed conditions (BAH and BAHN) on the DBIT of Ti-IF and Ti-IF+ B steel was investigated, and the following results were obtained:(1) The DBTT of Ti-IF steel treated by BAH is more beneficial to SWE than BAHN. P segregation is more serious in BAHN than in BAH. The reason is because BAHN soaking time is longer than that of BAH.(2) DBTT variance according to a sample position in coil corresponds well with the nitrogen content of the sample in BAHN. A boron addition decreases the DBTT rapidly. Four ppm of a B addition can reduce the DBTT by about 50 degrees. However, this cannot change the tendency that the DBTT of the sample in the outer position of he coil is higher than that of the inner.
