Intermolecular aurophilic interactions facilitate assembly of a complexrotaxane in solutiont

摘要

We describe the formation of a complex 2rotaxane both insolution and in the solid state. The rotaxane ring is composed ofa cyclic trinuclear gold complex and the Au(PMe_3)_2~+rod is heldin place by three aurophilic interactions to the ring Au atoms.The existence of the 2rotaxane in solution is confirmed byVT-NMR and MS analysis.
