摘要

The operation of rapidly varying loads, such as AC and DC arc furnaces, in large industrial power systems will cause voltage flicker on the utility system. System planning will help determine the available short circuit duty at the PCC to keep the voltage flicker within acceptable limits. There are a variety of ways to measure voltage flicker, such as perceptible flicker limit curves, the SCVD calculation and on-site field tests. The ultimate determination of whether unacceptable voltage flicker exists in a system will be complaints from customers actually experiencing objectionable or noticeable flicker in industrial or commercial facilities and residential households.
