Siemens modernizes automation In Altos Homos de Mexico's Monclova hot rolling mill

Altos Homos de Mexico-, S.A.B-. de C.V. (AHMSA) has awarded Siemens a contract to modernize their existing basic and process automation systems on their Monclova Hot Strip Mill. Siemens will supply and install modern automation technology based on the Siroll HM platform, which is specifically designed for hot rolling mills. The total value of the order is 21 million US dollars and the project is due to be completed in the summer of 2011.
