Siemens Metals Technologies Awarded 700 Million Euro Service Contract by ThyssenKrupp

For the first time in the world, Siemens Metals Technologies is to take over complete responsibility for electrical and mechanical maintenance of all the machinery and equipment involved in the steel production process -from the sinter plant and blast furnace to the steel works and slab caster. The customer is ThyssenKrupp CSA Companhia Siderurgica, which will thus be entrusting Siemens with complete responsibility for lifecycle servicing of Us new integrated iron and steel works in Brazil. The contract will run for 15 years and the order is worth around 700 million euros.
