Steel is the winner at the 2~(nd) Asia International Steel Conference

Steel behemoths from different parts of Asia had an overwhelming presence at the second Asia International Steel Conference held in the Steel City of Jamshedpur this month. Steel experts from Japan, Korea, China and India interacted and exchanged their views on the latest technical developments taking place in the industry in one of the finest steel meets ever held in this part of the world. The conference was jointly hosted by Tata Steel and the Indian Institute of Metals and was supported by the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan, Korean Institute of Metals and Materials and the Chinese Society for Metals. Majority of the delegates was of the view that like 2002-03, China would continue to remain the volume driver of the global steel industry in the current fiscal as well with a huge domestic consumption of the metal in the country.
