Domestic steel player opts for daily steel price fixing

Domestic steel companies are in jeopardy - on one hand, there is sheer fluctuation in the prices of raw material in the country and on the other, rising imports have filled in the Indian market. Usually, where steel producers are known for changing product prices fortnightly or monthly, Indian Steel major JSW Steel, owing to steep variation in input prices, is being seen fixing sale prices of long products daily. Whereas other steelmakers such as Steel Authority of India Limited, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited and Tata Steel are found practicing periodical announcement of price.
