Danieli receives 6-Hi 3C~R cold reversing mill at Shougang, P.R. of China

In January 52003, Shougang Corp. awarded the order for a new Daniel Wean United 6-Hi cold reversing mill for processing 350,000 tpy of carbon and low alloy steel strip. The Daniel developed 6-Hi 3C~R stand is a flexible, efficient, performance enhancing technology which allows a superior range of crown control to keep pace with the ever increasing product quality requirements. In the 6-High 3C~R, the intermediate rolls (IR) are crossed and shifted to improve profile control and flatness performance of the conventional actuators. Stand's automated control logic increases the operational range of the mill with a gradual and flexible approach.
