Requirements for a 20 year campaign at Dofasco's No. 4 blast furnace

To properly manage assets in the primary division of Dofasco the present fifth campaign of No.4 blast furnace must be extended to 20 years. Reline improvements were thus made in several areas to eliminate known major constraints. An action plan is essential for establishment of future repair, maintenance and process requirements necessary to make this goal a reality. Dofasco has developed processes to ensure that this goal is maintained. Based on this ongoing process, projects will be executed to ensure furnace availability for the allotted time frame while maintaining the required productivity.
