Goodfellow EFSOP~(TM) installed at Hylsa North Plant

The Stance Goodfellow EFSOP system has been successfully installed and is now in operation at Hylsa's North Plant near Monterrey. The EFSOP system, developed by Stantec Global Technologies, Ltd., uses state-of-the-gas analysis combined with process data acquisition and model-based control top optimize operation of EAF steel mills. Already in operation in a number of steel mills the system is proven to both save energy and increase productivity.The system is now in operation and as part of the initial phase, data is being gathered in order to supply the operations model for setting optimum parameters for daily operations.
