India's largest Blast Furnace "Durga" became operational at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of the Maharatna Company, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). Chairman SAIL, C.S. Verma visited the furnace and inspected the facilities on 10th August. Also present on the occasion were Director (Technical) S.S. Mohanty, Director (Projects & Business Planning) T.S. Suresh, CEO RSP G.S. Prasad and senior officers and employees of the steel plant.
