Siemens adds a Profinet version to its Sinamics G1Z0C compact inverter series

The Sinamics G120C inverter from Siemens is now also available with Profinet communication. The compact device is designed for industrial environments worldwide. It is suitable for the operation of pumps, compressors, fans and mixers and extruders; and also for conveyors and simple handling machines. The target group includes mechanical engineering companies (OEM) and distributors.Siemens Drive Technologies Division is adding Profinet to its compact SinamicsG120C inverter for even greater communication versatility. Profinet now complements the Profibus, USS/Modbus RTU and CAN options already available to provide more enhanced efficiency and performance, enabling faster exchange of data for high-performance motion control applications. In addition, standard Ethernet communication and Profinet communication can be used in parallel.
